Here’s an email we received a few days ago from a Cyberbackup member…
I would love to chat about Cyberbackup for a minute or two. I don’t know if it will even make it into this blog site, as I know very little about the technical side of computers, but I do know a great deal about learning valuable lessons.
I am an author, and I learned an important lesson (the hard way) about backing up my system. I do most of my work on a laptop, as I do a great deal of traveling. While writing a book isn’t easy, it’s only half the task; marketing it is the real challenge. It requires a great deal of travel, hence, the laptop work.
Last year, while waiting to fly from JFK Airport, my flight was delayed for two and a half hours. During that time, I had an “epiphany” regarding the chapter I had been trying to finish, and I came up with some of my best work ever (if I do say so myself). While feverishly translating my thoughts into writing, a woman, who had a look of desperation mixed with tears in her eyes, told me she had lost her little boy, and asked if I could please check the men’s room to see if he was in there. She provided me with a description and begged for my expeditious compliance. I told her to stay put and keep an eye on my stuff and I would go check. As I was in the men’s room calling out “Timmy,” she was exiting the airport with my $2,800 laptop!
It’s not the money that I’m worried about. I’ve paid for other expensive common sense lessons. However, the content on my computer was priceless, and all of the work that I had done since last at my residence (where I always put my writing on a back up disk), was lost. I would say about twenty-six hours of writing. I will never have that content back. As any author knows, spontaneous originality cannot be retrieved.
The first thing I googled on my new laptop (purchased in New York City near the airport), was “backup systems.” While doing so, I found an article by Software Industry Report that listed ZookaWare’s Cyberbackup as one of, if not THE top ranked back up systems available. Here are some of the things this Cyberbackup will do (according to the article):
• I get unlimited back up space (so I can store virtually everything on there)!
• It will back up automatically if I choose, or I can back it up manually.
• It stores my data in three places around the US, so if there’s some natural disaster in one area, I’m still in business.
• I can access it from anywhere in the world online (this is a biggie).
• If I don’t think I’m getting my money’s worth, I have two months to get my money back (that ain’t happenin’).
If this system would really do all this, I felt pretty comfortable giving it a try.
I have to admit, I’m a decent writer, but I really suck at technical computer procedures, so I was a bit nervous about installing this Cyberbackup program. However, it proved to be so easy, I was astounded. It went without a hitch.
Now, I can breath easy. If Murphy’s Law holds true, as it has throughout my life, I will NEVER need to use the back up for retrieval, because I have the service in place now; just like I have never wrecked a rental car that I had full insurance on! However, the minimal expense I pay for this service is well worth the easy breathing I now can do!
Stay tuned, by the way, because if I do indeed have to retrieve my information, I will definitely write in again. Until then, thanks Cyberbackup for the easy breathing!

Summary: PcsProtector is the latest malware to be destroyed by SpyZooka.
PcsProtector can be acquired by a computer when video codecs are installed from suspicious websites to watch online movies. This rogue antispyware program uses Trojans to infiltrate PCs with disastrous results. SpyZooka’s new software removes PcsProtector and keeps computers safe during future usage.
Pcs Protector comes from the Winisoft family of rogue applications and from pop-ups to security warnings, this junkware will tell you anything to try to dupe you into buying their product. Doing so will only lead to a loss from your bank account and added frustration.
Once this Trojan has gained access, it will embed itself into computer registries and configure itself to run automatically each time Windows is logged into. A deluge of fake security alerts will appear along with system scans that provide false results about innocuous infections. The files that are displayed are the same ones that are randomly named and placed there by PcsProtector itself.
PcsProtector encourages users to purchase their software to protect themselves from viruses PcsProtector has installed. A sample of the warning message displayed may look like this:
Spyware Alert!
