ADSTechnology is a spyware program created by TrafficAds Media that comes disguised as a download accelerator. It is a multipurpose bundle of spyware that includes a browser hijacker and a backdoor Trojan. Many different versions of this software exist.
As a browser hijacker, it comes hidden as a toolbar add-on for Internet Explorer. It redirects searches to Findology.com. It scans your computer for information to send to a remote viewer. The information it gathers is from Temporary Internet Files and from keystroke logging. It has an initiation file to start up every time Internet Explorer is used.
As a backdoor Trojan, ADSTechnology provides a more severe threat to your computer and your information. It allows a remote user—a hacker—to take control of your computer. It does this by taking control of various processes—including the keyboard and mouse—and enables remote access.
It is highly recommended that you remove ADSTechnology. It is an extremely dangerous program. SpyZooka comes highly recommended to remove this spyware.
