IEPageHelper is a spyware program that disguises itself as a browser helper object (BHO) in order to infect your computer. It was first discovered on March 22 of 2004. It has to be manually installed, or can be installed as part of a bundle of freeware or shareware.
IEPageHelper contacts a remote server when you’re browsing. It does this in order to get a keyword list to highlight on the web pages you’re visiting. These highlighted keywords will show a text advertisement when your cursor moves over them. These text ads are links to their affiliate pages.
IEPageHelper offers no real service beyond being an advertising program. It can also use up your computer’s resources while it’s operating. You should remove it with SpyZooka.
