myPCsearch is a privacy-violating security risk run by CPM Media. It keeps track of how you browse and surf the Internet, and sends the information back to its owners’ servers. The information is used to send pop-up advertising your way—pop-ups you would not otherwise receive without the program.
While myPCsearch was not designed to be malicious, it still is a security risk to your computer, providing viruses and other malicious programs with an non-secured doorway into your system. Like all spyware, it also violates your privacy as you browse the web.
