Naupoint Installer is in reality an adware program called a Trojan Downloader. It downloads another adware program called the Naupoint Browser Hijacker that commits browser hijacking whenever you’re surfing the Internet. It resets your browser’s home page to find.naupoint.com and will redirect you to websites of that advertise Rogue Security Tools. The products advertised should not, under any circumstance, be purchased. They will further infect your computer.
If your computer is infected with Naupoint Installer, you may have gotten it by visiting dubious websites or downloading freeware or shareware. These are considered to be unsafe browsing habits and should be avoided as much as possible. You should also increase your browser’s security settings to avoid future infections.
