MyDailyHoroscope is a program by Econfidence, Inc. that gives the user daily updates based on their horoscope, from the website mydailyhoroscope.net.  It also delivers unwanted advertisements to your computer!  Adware such as this can provide an “easy in” for other malicious software that is looking for a way to infect your computer.

This adware has been reported to occasionally perform a “browser hijack” (usually by taking over your search engine results when you look for something online).  It may also report your surfing activity—a clear breach of privacy.

The program starts up every time your computer starts up—without asking for user permission.  Its activity generally stays hidden as a background process and may slow your computer down.

MyDailyHoroscope may generate random names for its executable files.  Even after you uninstall the program, some of these files may still be on your computer.  This is why we recommend a good anti-spyware program like SpyZooka when you are trying to get rid of it.
