PrestoTuneup is a rogue security program created by vicious hackers for the sole purpose of stealing your money. Like other malware, PrestoTuneup indicates to the user through security alerts that infections and security threats exist. These messages are intended to frighten the user so that they will purchase the full product. PrestoTuneup is not capable of scanning your PC for infections, nor can it detect or remove them. What may occur is that additional malware gets installed on your PC, causing sluggish performance, a slow running PC, browser redirection and other nuisances. It some instances, your computer can become badly damaged. Trojans such as Vundo at questionable websites are commonly responsible for installing malicious applications. Once detected, PrestoTuneup should be removed at once.
