The malware program called Central24 is a dialer that is used to communicate with certain internet sites. It hijacks the modem of a computer and causes it to dial an expensive phone number to retrieve the unsolicited content. The Central24 program then places shortcuts to pornographic content on the computer desktop and within the start-up menu. The program may also implement icons on the desktop.
