CustomToolbar  is an application that uses a Browser Helper Object (BHO) in Internet Explorer and then embeds a toolbar that will give you quick access to third-party websites.  CustomToolbar can also change your settings and hijack your homepage, changing it to one of its choosing.  This parasite also allows ActiveX to download and install any code from any website. This malware is very dangerous and should be removed immediately.
