The OKToolbar spyware replicates itself on computer hard drive, and creates a toolbar with its own start up key. OKToolbar attaches itself to Internet Explorer, and adds an unrequested toolbar which monitors internet activity, which is transmitted thereafter to the OKToolbar controlling server. This is all in an effort to direct pop-up and other unwanted advertisements to the user.
