Wazam is a browser hijacker and was created by New York Internet Media.  If you are infected with this parasite you will begin to notice certain types of activity.   Your Internet browser may begin to work much more slowly.   You will notice that your home page is now something different.  Your Internet settings have been changed and you cannot change them back to your preferred state.  Your search queries are strange. 
Wazam is directing you to affiliate websites.  Wazam can also capture keystrokes, which is quite dangerous when it comes to your financial security.  It is usually bundled with CursorArts’s IconForge software, which is distributed through favicon.com and affiliated sites.
