Trojan dialers are numerous and carry many different names. Most of these infections use the modem of your PC to dial international and high-cost toll numbers in order to connect to pornographic websites. Trojan dialers may be put on your computer intentionally, or may be installed by accidentally visiting a questionable website. Trojan dialers also have the ability to place malware on your PC, which can be highly threatening. Some malware collects personal information about you such as credit card numbers, personal passwords and other business data.
Malware will affect the performance of your computer, making it much slower than normal. It can also cause permanent damage. Malware uses system resources, causing poor performance. It may also corrupt system files that are needed for proper functioning of your computer. To remove trojan dialers, you may attempt to locate the program in your add/remove programs in the control panel. You may also attempt to find the related files in the Windows registry, and then delete them once detected. It is recommended that you use a legitimate antispyware tool such as Spyzooka to remove Trojan dialers and other infections, as manual removal may cause severe damage to your PC.
