Download adsmsext.dll Error Fix

The DLL adsmsext.dll is a module that is critical in running the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LADP). It is part of the directory service protocol that is implemented on a layer above the TCP/IP stack. High-speed internet works require this DLL to be able to run seamlessly. It offers a mechanism to efficiently store information on people, groups, relationships, applications, computing resources, and rules.

The admsext.dll file is used to access Internet directories. Connecting to, searching, and modifying Internet directories cannot be possible or will generate error messages if the admsext.dll file is not updated. It should be noted that this DLL does not create directories nor does it specify how a directory service operates. It is merely used to access an existing directory.

Operation of the LDAP directory service is based on a client-server model. The data and namespace of LDAP is not different to that of X.500 OSI directory service. Rather LDAP is a subset of the X.500 protocol. It is a more efficient and user-friendly version of the X.500 protocol.

With the development of the module admsext.dll required resources to run the data model of LDAP is minimal. Writing Internet directory service applications has thus become simpler. Furthermore LDAP is not dependent on a single vendor and can run even without X.500.

What is good about the admsext.dll file is that it runs the Active Directory on the LDAP by using it to access protocol. The Active Directory can support access thru the LDAP protocol from any LDAP-enabled client. With the admsext.dll file the Active Directory on LDAP has become independent of the X.500 directory.

While it can support the X.500 information model it does not need to call on the system to host the entire X.500 overhead. Therefore a high level of compatibility is achieved and enables the administrator to work on diverse networks without much trouble. Additionally, the admsext.dll file supports TCP/IP which is of course necessary to access the Internet.

While the LDAP naming is more complex than that of Internet names it is usually hidden within an application. The admsext.dll file allows for the combination of the best of the DNS and X.500 naming standards for LDAP, other key protocols, and APIs.

This way the Active Directory provides a single point of administration for all resources including files, peripheral devices, host connections, database, Web access, users, and other network resources.

Recommended fix if you are experiencing adsmsext.dll error messages:

DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files contain computer code and resources that can be used by multiple programs at the same time. This uses less system memory and helps your computer system run more efficiently. DLL files give program developers the ability to reuse code to add features to several programs without the need to write new code for each program.

There are many programs that require DLL files to function properly so when one of them is damaged or missing it will cause program crashes and poor system performance.

To fix these problems the user must replace the damaged file with a valid working version. If a working version cannot be found the user may perform a reinstallation of their operating system.
