Error Fix for alrsvc.dll

What is alrsvc.dll?

The file that delivers alerts on one’s computer system is the alrsvc.dll module. It is commonly described as the Alerter Service Dynamic Link Library (DLL) for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (OS).

The alrsvc.dll module is the key file that enables services like messaging and event alerts on later versions of Windows Operating Systems. It is an important Windows Service that is used to send administrative alerts as it carries the functions ServiceMain and SvchostPushServiceGlobals.

The alrsvc.dll file alerts MS Windows users about the system’s access, security, and session issues. It sends alert messages from a server to the client computer so the messaging service that is running on the client’s system can receive the alert messages.

This alert service is really of high importance to users and this service should normally be turned on by the administrator for the alrsvc.dll module to execute the necessary commands for its functionality. The “Alerter Service” can also be set to start automatically on Windows NT during an unattended setup.

To do this you have to click the Start button then go to Settings and click open Control Panel and double-click Services. On Services click on “Alerter Service” to start and change its startup option to Automatic. Afterwards open Regedit.exe to start Registry Editor and go to the subkey HKEY_Local_Machine/ System/ CurrentControlSet/ Services/ Alert and click on Export Registry File on the Registry Menu.

After exporting save the file with an identifiable file name (like Alerter.reg) then open the cmdlines.txt file on the $OEM$ directory on the distribution server. Add the line “./Regedit.exe /s ./Alerter.reg” after clicking on the “Edit” option on the Commands section, then press ctrl+c while the files Alerter.reg and Regedit.exe are highlighted.

Afterwards go to the folder $OEM$ and paste it there. Edit the Unattended.txt file on that folder and add the OemPreinstall = yes.

Finally power cycle the computer, then after it has completely booted up check Services on Control Panel to confirm that the Alerter Service is turned on.

Recommended fix if you are experiencing alrsvc.dll error messages:

DLL (Dynamic Link Library) files contain computer code and resources that can be used by multiple programs at the same time. This uses less system memory and helps your computer system run more efficiently. DLL files give program developers the ability to reuse code to add features to several programs without the need to write new code for each program.

There are many programs that require DLL files to function properly so when one of them is damaged or missing it will cause program crashes and poor system performance.

To fix these problems the user must replace the damaged file with a valid working version. If a working version cannot be found the user may perform a reinstallation of their operating system.
