Ds32gt.dll Errors Solved

The ds32gt.dll module is an Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) component of Microsoft Data Access. Microsoft Data Access previously named as Microsoft Access is part of the recently released Microsoft Office 2007system. Microsoft Data Access is utilized in the creation and manipulation of data.

It can be used as a database for ordinary data that needs to be computed according to a relational model, on Web based applications hosted on Microsoft’s Internet Information Services, and in the utilization of the Microsoft Active Server Pages ASP.

The main function of the module ds32gt.dll is to allow programs to use Standard Query Language (SQL) requests that will access databases without having to know the proprietary interfaces to the database. It receives the SQL request and converts it into a form that the individual database system understands.

The ds32gt.dll module is in charge of making calls into a native library through a programming language that is usually the C programming language. However a separate module or driver is needed in order to access different databases. In the case of Microsoft Data Access Component (MDAC), Microsoft provides the SQL Server ODBC Driver (SQLODBC) which supports the SQL Server v6.5 and above.

The ds32gt.dll module works in the following manner: When Microsoft Data Access needs to access a foreign database the ds32gt.dll efficiently disables the DLL_THREAD_ATTACH and DLL_THREAD_DETACH through the DisableThreadLibraryCalls.

With the DisableThreadLibraryCalls, the Windows CE does not page in the DLL initialization code when creating or deleting a thread. The ds32gt.dll module performs when commands are dispatched to the SQL Servers with the function get process address which is specifically known as user mode virtual address space.

All the threads that are owned by an application share the same virtual address space, free library, set error mode and load library.

What is a DLL?

Your operating system comes pre-installed with Microsoft DLL’s and most third party programs also install DLL’s.

DLL (Dynamic Link Library) is Microsoft’s implementation of the shared library concept. Meaning there’s a DLL library on your computer and each DLL can be shared among different Microsoft and third party programs. This shared library method helps your computer run faster by having fewer operations running at the same time.

When a DLL is missing or corrupt it may show an error message and programs may fail or crash.

Because DLL’s are shared, one missing or corrupt DLL may affect multiple programs on your computer.
