Fix For fusion.dll Errors

What is a DLL?

A DLL file (Dynamic Link Library) is a file that contains computer code that can be used by several programs at the same time. This uses less system memory to perform multiple functions and makes your system run more efficiently. DLL files give programmers the ability to reuse the same code for multiple programs without having to write all new code for each one.

There are many programs that require DLL files to function so when you have a damaged or missing DLL you will experience system errors and program crashes.

 What is fusion.dll?

Fusion.dll is an assembly manager module that is used with the .net framework provided by the Microsoft Corporation. The assembly manager is loaded from the system component fusion.dll and is a part of the CLR (Common Language Runtime).

The assembly manager has the responsibility of storing assembly files within the GAC (Global Assembly Cache) and loading them at the run time (when they are first needed by an application). The GAC is the central storage area for assemblies downloaded onto a Windows computer. Fusion.dll is a system process that is vital to the Windows operating system and should not be modified or deleted.

Suggested fix if you are experiencing fusion.dll errors:

Because fusion.dll is a part of the core operating system if it is damaged or deleted the operating system will no longer function. If this should ever happen the only fix for it will be to reinstall the Windows operating system.

Fusion.dll is created by:

Microsoft Corporation

Known file path:
