msimsg.dll error fix
What is a DLL?
DLL stands for Dynamic Link Library and is a file that contains computer code which can be used by multiple programs at the same time. This uses less system memory making your system much more efficient. DLL files give programers the ability to reuse the same code for several programs and to add features to their programs without having to write new code for each one.
There are many programs that depend on DLL files to function so when a DLL is damaged or missing it causes poor system performance and eventually system crashes.
What is msimsg.dll?
Msimsg.dll is a file tied to the Microsoft Windows Installer which is designed to make installing and configuring new programs fast and simple. Windows Installer gives programs the ability to see installation problems like missing files or missing registry keys and repair themselves.
When the installer performs an installation it also writes an undo operation so if an installation error occurs it can set the system back to it’s original condition by removing the changes done during installation. Msimsg.dll is an important part of the Windows Installer because it launches the MUI ( Multilingual User Interface). The MUI gives the installer the ability to use international messaging so that it can be used by people that speak one of several supported languages.
