urlmon.dll Error Fix
What is a DLL file?
DLL is short for Dynamic Link Library and is a file containing computer code that can be used by multiple programs at the same time. This uses less system memory and helps make your system run more efficiently. DLL files allow programers to reuse the code in them to add functions to several programs without having to write new code for each one.
There are many programs that rely on DLL files to function so when you have a damaged or missing DLL file it will cause error messages and program crashes.
What is urlmon.dll?
Urlmon.dll is a file that contains functions used by the Microsoft OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) application. OLE is a technology that allows the embedding of and linking to documents and other objects like images.
The urlmon.dll helps OLE in allowing an editor to bring part of a document to another editor and the reimport the information after it has been altered. The main benefit of using OLE is to display visualizations of data from other programs within the program you are currently using. OLE is used in managing compound documents through drag and drop or clipboard functions for example importing an Excel document into a Word document without losing the Excel formatting. Ole permits objects created in one application to be embedded into documents created in another program.
