zlib.dll Error Problems Solved Today
The function of compressing and decompressing files in Windows applications is performed by the module zlib.dll. It is part of the ZLIB compression library that uses the zip algorithm. It is being distributed as free software.
Jean-Loup Gailly and Mark Adler author the ZLIB compression library. The zlib.dll file has been developed to be a compression method that is compatible with the gzip format which was also written by Jean-Loup.
This DLL is not covered by any patent and has been described by its authors as a free general-purpose lossless data-compression library. It can be used in virtually any computer hardware and operating system.
As a compression tool the zlib.dll file makes use of the compression algorithm similar to that of gzip and Zip formats. This method is called the deflate method which is originally used by PKWARE’s PKZIP version 2.
What is unique about the zlib.dll file is that it is portable across platforms unlike other compression data formats. It essentially never expands the data or file size. The memory footprint of the zlib.dll file does not rely on the input data and can be reduced when necessary.
To be specific what the zlib.dll file does is to inflate files at 20% faster rate than other compression methods. It can optionally encode and decode gzip streams during inflation or deflation and also supports raw deflate-inflate options.
Data security has also been addressed in the newer versions of the zlib.dll file. It can eliminate potential security vulnerability when decoding invalid compressed data and other specially crafted compressed data.
It can also detect and fix a bug when decompressing dynamic blocks. The author’s say they are continually developing this module so that it will be able to support more architecture and enhance shared library support.
The zlib.dll file supports Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP/2003. This module has been adopted in version 1.1 of the Java Development Kit (JDK) both as a raw class and as part of the JAR archive format. The authors have recently merged the source distribution of the zlib.dll file with the standard ZLIB.

What is a DLL?
Your operating system comes pre-installed with Microsoft DLL’s and most third party programs also install DLL’s.
DLL (Dynamic Link Library) is Microsoft’s implementation of the shared library concept. Meaning there’s a DLL library on your computer and each DLL can be shared among different Microsoft and third party programs. This shared library method helps your computer run faster by having fewer operations running at the same time.
When a DLL is missing or corrupt it may show an error message and programs may fail or crash.
Because DLL’s are shared, one missing or corrupt DLL may affect multiple programs on your computer.
We Guarantee To Solve Your Zlib.dll Problems
Most non-Microsoft DLL’s are copyrighted so downloading them from other websites or software is often illegal and bundled with spyware or other malicious programs.
Our ITZooka software contains Microsoft DLL’s and will detect, download, and install missing or corrupt Microsoft DLLs. However, fixing non-Microsoft DLLs like Zlib.dll usually takes some expert knowledge and manual work.
We’re experts at remotely fixing dll errors, spyware, viruses, slow computers, browser problems and more on all Microsoft Windows operating systems.
