Date Manager by Claria is supposedly a date organizing program.  It is provided for free because it is supported by advertisements from the GAIN network, formerly known as Gator.  Whether under the name of Claria, GAIN, or Gator, this company is a well known purveyor of spyware programs, attached as bundles to their software.  Claria claims to no longer be associated with GAIN.

In the End User Licensing Agreement, Claria clearly states that by downloading Date Manager, as well as any of the other software that they provide, the user agrees to allow them to gather information about their browsing habits and deliver pop-up ads based on the data they collect.  In short, in order to use Date Manager or any other Claria software, the user agrees to allow Claria to install spyware on their computer.

You can remove the Date Manager program from your computer using the Add/Remove Programs function in Windows, or by other providers such as CCleaner.  While that will uninstall the program itself, it will not delete the spyware components of the program.  For that, you need to use a powerful spyware removal tool.  Of all the antispyware programs available, ZookaWare PC Cleaner is the most effective antispyware tool to remove all the spyware associated with this program.
