Enhancemysearch – A Hijacker You Don’t Want

I have a story to tell about a problem I had with my computer and what I did to over come it. I recently became infected with Enhancemysearch, which is what the computer professionals call a browser hijacker. I did some research on what a browser hijacker is and found that it is a malware program that will alter your browser settings so that you will be redirected to sites you never had an intention of visiting. I also found out that many can cause computer problems due to shoddy programming.

In the case of Enhancemysearch, you are redirected to pay-per-search sites every time you try to do a search online. It doesn’t matter which search engine you try to use, you will repeatedly be sent to the pay-per-search site. As if that weren’t bad enough, your home page gets changed to a direct porn site. So you are subjected to porn every time you start up your web browser.

It gets worse. In addition to your browser being hijacked, you are also subjected to pop-ups. Enhancemysearch also collects and sends information on all the web sites you visit, then connects to a remote server and passes that information on. This makes Enhancemysearch spyware as well as adware and a browser hijacker. I also found on my search that Enhancemysearch is known by another name, Trojan-Dropper.Win32.Delf.z. So now we know Enhancemysearch is also a trojan.

After finding out all this I was alarmed that such a program was on my computer. I knew I had to remove it, but I wasn’t sure how since my anti-virus didn’t do anything about it. So, I did some research and found I needed an anti-spyware to remove this program. I did a little digging and found that there is only one on the market who guarantees 100% removal. This program is ZookaWare PC Cleaner. I downloaded, installed, and ran ZookaWare PC Cleaner and it completely removed Enhancemysearch. No more pop-ups, browser re-direction, or porn site start page.
