Fix Tool Removal

Fix Tool is a rogue registry cleaner that may be loaded on your PC from the website Fix-Tool.com, or it may have installed through Trojans from another source.  No matter where it comes from, it should be removed immediately.  Like other well-known fake antispyware applications, Fix Tool scans your system and displays fake error alerts, warning the user of security threats and other dangers that reside on their computer.  These messages are total lies, and are simply an attempt to frighten the user so that they purchase Fix Tool to remedy the situation.  This bogus tool is incapable of detecting dangers or removing them.

Fix Tool File Content:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\”Fix Tool” = “C:\Program Files\Fix Tool\Fix-Tool.exe”
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.pox
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\pofile
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Fix-Tool.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Fix Tool
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Miracle

Recommended Action: Prompt Removal

While manual removal of malicious software such as Fix Tool may be possible, it is very risky. Only an expert should attempt this, as you must back up your files and delete all files related to Fix Tool, which can be tricky because they hide from the user.  If manual removal is not performed properly, you run the risk of causing additional damage to your PC.  If Fix Tool is not completely eliminated, it will re-install upon start up.  The proper action to take is to insure total removal of Fix Tool using Spyzooka, which is guaranteed to remove 100% of parasites and infections with only one scan.
