Instructions for Virusshield Removal

There are many rogue antivirus applications out there and Virusshield is one of the latest to emerge. Though it can be downloaded manually, the most common method of infection is through a Trojan horse program. The Trojan will secretly download Virusshield without the user’s permission and install it.

Once installed, Virusshield will deliver false security warnings and coax the user into allowing a system scan to be performed. The scan that it performs is just a hoax and once it has been done, the user is presented with a phony list of infections. The user is told that the infections can’t be removed without buying the full version of Virusshield.

AKA:

Virus Shield 2009

Virusshield file contents:

ChkDisk.dll
ReleaseXP.exe
VSHIELD.exe
15.mof
vd952342.bd
shld.ini
Virus Shield 2009.lnk
Instructions.ini

The full version of Virusshield is a waste of money and will only cause harm to the user’s computer. It offers no protection whatsoever. For these reasons, if your computer has been infected with Virusshield, then you should have it removed immediately. In order to manually remove it, you must stop this process:

VShield.exe

Then, you must delete the following registry entries:

I was on vacation for the last month and when I came home my computer was full of viruses. I found one anti-virus that helped, but it was unable to remove Virusshield. Someone gave me some information, about how to remove it myself, but this didn’t worked. So a cousin of mine told me about SpyZooka, a program that is using for some time and the computer is clean. I searched for it over the internet and my problem is now resolved, thanks to this site. I appreciate your help!
