LinkSafeness Removal Instructions

LinkSafeness has a very “safe” sounding moniker, but the fact is it is a rogue security application that does not protect computers at all.  In fact, it is only installed so that the creator can market of additional software.  This fake product attempts to scare a computer user into believing that his or her machine is under attack, and then tries to get them to purchase the products it hawks.

LinkSafeness has been known to enter a computer through Trojan files on the Internet, and as soon as this happens, the user will note fabricated security alerts, pop-up marketing, faked Windows Security Center messages, and other symptoms like scanning the computer but actually doing nothing.

No user should trust security information that comes from the LinkSafeness program!  The only responsible thing for a computer user to do in this case is to purge it from the hard drive at the first opportunity.
