Look2Me Information and Removal
Look2Me is a program that collects your surfing data and reports it to a central website. It is a shell extension, installing itself in Microsoft Internet Explorer. In some ways, this makes it easier to remove. But this also means that a firewall or standard anti-spyware program likely won’t inform you when Look2Me installs itself.
Unlike some programs, it won’t insinuate itself in the taskbar or startup files of your Windows operating system.
Some signs of infection include pop-up windows and a firewall warning that your system is trying to connect to look2me.com (if your system catches it).
Attached as it is to Explorer, it will re-install itself if you delete it while Explorer is open. One solution is to close your web browser and delete its .dll file. The only problem here is that it may reinstall itself next time you open your browser!
