Lzio Detection and Removal

Lzio is a piece of spyware/adware that reports information about not only your browsing habits, but about your computer as well!  It reports on information such as your recently played media files, MS Windows info, Explorer settings, web sites visited, and even the applications you have installed!

The program may also display ads from adsincontext.com, or download and execute file from lzio.com.

It is particularly difficult to get rid of due to the fact that it generates a random name for its executable file.  Deleting malware on your own is already a dangerous prospect, since you are always at risk of deleting an essential file.  Lzio makes the task virtually impossible.

The best way to take care of programs like Lzio is to use an anti-spyware program.  All good anti-spyware programs can catch shifty programs like this one.  At [this site], we prefer Spyzooka.

Lzio File Contents:

Lzio can makes itself hard to catch by downloading into your Windows directory and generating a random name for its .exe file.  It will generate seven random letters to name the file, so that it might appear as
abcdefg.exe
qmslpwy.exe
or any of eight billion (!) other combinations.

It may also include:
hpdllhost.exe
lziomediaupdater.exe
enablerundll32
