PersonalMoneyTree Detection and Removal
PersonalMoneyTree is a program that is supposed to help you get paid for shopping online. Unfortunately, it violates your privacy and slows down your system in order to do so.
PersonalMoneyTree reads the text of every web page you visit. It picks up key phrases in the text of the site, and then displays links to commercial sites that offer services or products related to the key phrases. This eats processor speed and bandwidth, making your browser, Internet connection, and sometimes your whole computer work much more slowly.
WARNING: PersonalMoneyTree.exe is sometimes deliverd by Virantix.B, a known Trojan horse. This Trojan shows false security alerts and attacks antivirus programs. It will also install a rootkit into the host computer. This Trojan can also install rootkits and change Internet Explorer Settings.
If you have PersonalMoneyTree on your computer, you may have other more dangerous threats as well. Please use a good anti-spyware program from resolving these threats, as they can be overwhelming if you are not a programmer—and can be overwhelming even if you are!
