QuickBrowser Find and Remove

QuickBrowser is an adware/spyware program that disguises itself as a helpful tool, typically showing up as an Internet search icon in your Windows taskbar.  It copies itself into the Windows startup menu so that it runs every time you turn on your computer.  This means that QuickBrowser can deliver pop-up ads to your PC, even if you don’t have a browser window open!

QuckBrowser generally also acts as a Trojan horse, downloading third-party software to computers without user consent.  The program is often downloaded with ad-supported software, such as P2P and bit torrent interfaces.

QuickBrowser’s presence on a computer generally indicates the presence of other types of malware.  Use of a good anti-spyware program (we recommend ZookaWare PC Cleaner) is highly recommended.
