Shellbot is a backdoor trojan that allows an attacker to control a compromised PC from a remote location, and use it for fraudulent or malicious intentions. Shellbot enables the hacker to execute commands, change network settings, disable system files and access private information. Additional malware may be placed on your PC as well.

Shellbot should be removed promptly once detected. To remove Shellbot manually, you must kill all associated running processes, then locate related files and values in the Windows registry in order to remove them. Manual removal of Shellbot is difficult, and may damage your computer. To remove Shellbot automatically, it is suggested that you use a reputable spyware removal application such as Spyzooka, which is designed for this purpose.
