Virus Shield Removal Instructions

Virus Shield is a rogue antivirus program that has a similar name to a legitimate antivirus created by AOL. Though it claims to be helpful, this rogue is rather malevolent. It uses very deceptive tactics in order to sneak onto people’s computers and trick them into spending their money on a useless product.

Virus Shield will harass the infected user with fake security warnings, perform phony scans with phony results, and take their money without offering any positive service in return. It will cause their computer and Internet connection to slow down, as well as alter browser settings and generate pop-up ads.
